Ever wondered what our favorite Sith lord is thinking and feeling after the events of Revenge of the Sith? Well now you’ll be able to in Marvel’s brand new comic, Darth Vader. Issue one of the series will literally pick up where Revenge of the Sith left off: Vader standing next to Palpatine as the construction of the first Death Star commences. And it will then tell the story of his rise to ruler of the galaxy. We’ll even get to see how his infamous red Lightsaber was constructed. Here’s what writer Charles Soule says about it:
"There’s a lot of death, a lot of destruction in the series — that’s all Vader really wants, and I knew I’d be writing a book that didn’t (almost couldn’t) shy away from those elements."
The series will be illustrated by artist Giuseppe Camuncoli. You can expect the first issue of the Darth Vader comic to hit shelves in June.
