This morning Vanity Fair revealed their brand new, exclusive covers for their summer publication featuring on-set photos of The Last Jedi cast. Photographer Annie Leibovitz perfectly captured our favorite new characters on our favorite new planets and landscapes.
Some special things you’ll see are Captain Phasma without her helmet on, a revived and healthy Finn and, a new face in the resistance, Rose Tico (portrait by Kelly Marie Tran). But the best thing about the collection is the very appropriate and fitting tribute cover to Carrie Fisher. She alone stands front and center with the words “The Legacy” next to her. Very well done.
This is the first time Vanity Fair has released multiple covers for one issue when it comes to Star Wars. Look out for these beauties to hit shelves in Los Angeles and New York on May 31 and nationally on June 6. You can also get early access to their digital edition (including Light Saber sound effects!) tomorrow, May 24. With this exclusive “Vanity Fair Star Wars Experience” you’ll also receive all four covers and a commemorative poster. And for only $30 it’s a pretty great deal.
