George Lucas and his wife Mellody Hobson are funding the construction of “Lucas Museum of Narrative Art” in L.A.’s Exposition Park, a $1-billion investment. The website claims that the  museum will be like no other, “with an unprecedented collection that features fine art and popular art from illustration to comics, an insider’s perspective on the cinematic creative process and the boundless potential of the digital medium.” They reference examples of what you might see in the museum from E.T., Toy Story, Blade Runner and, of course the franchise Lucas himself created, Star Wars. The 275,000 square-foot museum is projeted to open in 2021.
