Marc Hagan-Guirey, AKA Paper Dandy, is a mastermind when it comes to the beautiful and mind-blowing art of Kirigami. Kirigami is an off-shoot of origami, but includes making methodical cuts in the paper along with folding it. The outcome is something you have to see to believe. Paper Dandy is best known for his work that launched him to fame, “horrorgami,” in which he recreates scenes from some of his favorite horror films.
That stuff is cool, but what we’re most interested in is his newest book, Star Wars Kirigami. This book has within it’s glorious pages fifteen ready-to-build models of Star Wars ships in gorgeous Kirigami style. The selection of vehicles spans across all three trilogies, including Anakin’s Podracer, the Millennium Falcon and Kylo Ren’s TIE Silencer. Take some time and geek out over the below photos. Order Star Wars Kirigami and start folding and cutting your way into breath-taking Star Wars scenes.
